This Gallup poll comes on the heels of Hamas’s unexpected attack on Israel, which resulted in the tragic loss of 1,400 lives in Israel and the hostage-taking of around 200 others by the militant group. In response, Israel launched a series of airstrikes in Gaza, leading to the loss of more than 7,000 lives and injuries to over 18,000 individuals, according to an update from the Gaza Health Ministry released on Thursday.

The Gallup poll was conducted from October 2nd to 23rd, with a total of 1,009 respondents participating. The margin of error for the poll was 4 percentage points.
